Svāsthya — Your Path to Lasting Wellness

In Āyurveda, svāsthya (स्वास्थ्य) means more than the absence of disease. It is a state of inner balance — when the body, mind, and senses are in their natural rhythm. The Svāsthya space at I-AIM Healthcare Centre is where you begin that journey.

Modern life pulls us away from this balance — irregular meals, restless sleep, screens before bedtime, processed foods, stress that never quite switches off. Āyurveda offers a steady way back. Through small, consistent choices in what you eat, how you move, and how you rest, you can return to a state of natural well-being.

This page brings together four resources that help you understand and measure your own wellness — drawn from the work of I-AIM and our research partner, The University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU).

“Svasthamin svaasthyam rakshanam, aaturasya vikara prashamanam.” — The two aims of Āyurveda: to protect the health of the healthy, and to relieve the disorders of the unwell.

FOUR WAYS TO BEGIN

Explore Your Svāsthya Resources

Each of the four sections below opens a different doorway into Āyurvedic wellness — from foundational learning to daily practice to a personalised wellness measurement.

01  ĀHĀRA  ·  THE WISDOM OF FOOD

Assorted herbs and roots arranged on a blue surface, including ginger slices, turmeric, lemongrass, garlic, and bowls with ground powders and red crushed herb.

Introduction to Ayurveda Dietetics

A short, structured online course from TDU that introduces Ayurveda nutrition, food classification, the role of agni (digestion), and how individual constitution (prakriti) shapes the right diet for you. Open to all learners — no prior knowledge of Āyurveda required. Delivered fully online with live sessions, recordings, assignments, and a 1-credit certificate from TDU.

02  RASA · TASTE & NOURISHMENT

Stack of golden besan chilla (savory Indian pancakes) topped with onion rings and cilantro, served with a bowl of green chutney.

Ayur Aahar — Food Channel

A YouTube channel dedicated to Āyurvedic food, recipes, and dietary wisdom for everyday life. Watch simple, season-appropriate meals and traditional preparations explained in an easy, practical way — perfect for anyone wanting to bring Āyurveda into their kitchen without any technical background.

03  PRĀNA · BREATH & MOVEMENT

KYM — I-AIM Yoga Course

A structured yoga programme designed in collaboration between Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM) and I-AIM. The course brings together classical yoga teachings and an integrative healthcare approach — suitable for beginners as well as those looking to deepen an existing practice. Yoga at I-AIM is treated not as fitness, but as a complete discipline for body, breath, and mind.

THE I-AIM APPROACH

Why Svāsthya Matters

Most modern healthcare focuses on disease — diagnosing it, treating it, managing it. Āyurveda begins one step earlier. It asks: how do we keep a healthy person healthy? Svāsthya is that question, lived as a daily practice.

At I-AIM Healthcare Centre, our integrative approach means we draw from both classical Āyurveda and modern science. Our doctors, dietitians, and therapists work together to help you understand your own constitution, your current state, and the small adjustments that can move you toward better long-term health.

What you can expect:

A clear, science-backed introduction to Āyurvedic dietetics — without jargon.

Practical food guidance you can apply at home, through Ayur Aahar.

A classical yoga practice taught by experienced teachers in the KYM tradition.

A personal wellness score that helps you see where to begin.

The option to follow up with an I-AIM physician for a deeper, personalised consultation.

How to Begin Your Svāsthya Journey

Step 1 — Measure where you are
Take a few minutes to complete the Svāsthya questionnaire. The result is a simple snapshot — not a diagnosis — of where your current lifestyle stands against the principles of Āyurvedic wellness.

Step 2 — Learn the basics
If food is where you want to start, the TDU short course on Ayurveda Dietetics is ideal. If you prefer to learn through cooking, the Ayur Aahar channel walks you through recipes and food principles, one video at a time.

Step 3 — Build a daily practice
Yoga is one of the most direct ways to bring Āyurveda into daily life. The KYM I-AIM course gives you a steady, structured path — taught at a pace that fits your level.

Step 4 — Consult, when you are ready
If you would like a personalised plan based on your Svāsthya score, our integrative physicians at I-AIM can help. Treatments and lifestyle plans are designed around your prakriti, current health, and personal goals.
